This is a blog written by the current President of the Carolinas Cycling Association.
The Carolinas Cycling Association is a Local Association affiliated with USA Cycling, the National Governing Body for competitive cycling in the United States.
The current president for 2006 is Drew McCarthy.
Drew is 45 years old, a Cat. 4 Road racer, a Cat. B Road/Track Official, a Cat. A MTB Official, and a member and former President of Hearts Racing Club in Winston-Salem, NC.
Drew has organized a number of cycling events with Ken Putnam, of Ken’s Bike Shop, in Winston-Salem, NC. He’s also authored the maps for a book of local cycling routes with Ken Putnam and Judi Wallace. He currently co-organizes the Dixie Classic Criterium Tuesday Night Training Series on the Fairgrounds in Winston-Salem with Ken Putnam. The Series has been going on for almost ten years.
